New in Town for New Year

I came to Israel right before Rosh Hashanah last year, and was looking for a place to have dinner and meet new people. Kerem House was one of the first options that popped up when I searched online for Rosh Hashanah dinners in Tel Aviv - so I came to check it out. I was welcomed in right away, and met so many great people that night. It was a pretty diverse crowd - religious and secular, from many different countries and backgrounds. What we all had in common is an openness to making new friends and learning about other people, and an appreciation of Jewish traditions - even though our levels of observance may differ. I started coming to Shabbat Dinners and other events, and pretty soon I was a regular. Kerem House is more than just an event space - it’s a community. And it’s thanks to this community that I now feel so at home in Tel Aviv.
