About the event

Join us as we come together to honor the life of Sylvia Rozines (of blessed memory, January 1935 - February 2023). In her early life, Sylvia was a child holocaust survivor of Nazi atrocities and was one of the twelve children to be liberated from the Lodz Ghetto, a day before her 10th birthday. Thankfully, Sylvia was also able to become a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to the next generation.

Sylvia remains close to the heart of one of our own Tel Aviv community members, who wishes to pass along Sylvia's story and memory on this year's commemoration of Yom HaShoah. The evening will include a viewing of Sylvia's First Person United States Holocaust Museum interview, as well as select readings from the book Yellow Star by Jennifer Roy, written my Sylvia's niece as a first-person account of Sylvia's experience through the eyes of a child.
