We'll sweat and stretch in this Pilates based workout focused on increasing strength and flexibility. Building from the Pilates base, we'll do some additional stretching and work on balance, flow and range of motion. I'll offer demonstrations, adaptations, feedback and corrections throughout. Completely accessible for beginners, everyone is guaranteed to sweat!
For class: Bring water and a yoga mat or towel. Come with sneakers. You may choose to work in them or barefoot.
Marcie is a modern dancer and pilates instructor, performing and choreographing with ThisBody (www.thisbody.com), a Brooklyn based dance collective. This fitness class is modeled on her own training and practice, combining pilates, barre, modern and ballet techniques.
