Tour of the Interior/Exterior Exhibition with Curator Ophra Shoshtari and Artist Orly Shalem.

Orly is a lover of nature and people, a woman who thrives on getting out of her house, and when the coronavirus pandemic closed the country down and she was forced to turn inward, she externalized her frustration in paint. The paintings in “External/Internal” are lyrical interpretations of the outside world as filtered through Orly Shalem’s internal struggle. 

Although this period was difficult for her, and indeed for many of us, Orly is also a woman who is always looking for balance, and thus, with each dark feeling she also searched for hope, beauty and redemption.

The talk is in Hebrew but if there are at least 10 participants there will be a talk in English at 20:00

About Kerem House: Kerem House is a community-led cultural space in the heart of Tel Aviv, organized by young people who wish to create a vibrant Jewish community, for themselves and for their peers.
