All about strengthening, stretching and alignment.
I'm excited to be teaching a class based on my own movement practice and my love of sharing movement with others! In this class I'll help you feel more in your body, target specific muscles for strength and flexibility and work toward overall mobility, balance and efficiency of movement.
Class size is small. I'll offer adaptations, feedback and corrections throughout. The space will be open for 15 minutes after class to allow for cooling down and I will be there and available to answer any questions that came up during class. This class is for everybody. Every body.
If you feel you struggle with flexibility.
If you're returning to movement after injury.
If you're returning to movement after lockdown.
If you work out in a specific way and want to round out your practice.
Be in touch if you have questions or specific challenges or concerns.
For class: Bring a yoga mat if you have one. Please message if you'll be coming without a mat. Come with sneakers. You may choose to work in them or barefoot.
Marcie is a modern dancer, performing and choreographing with ThisBody (www.thisbody.com), a Brooklyn based dance collective. This fitness class is modeled on her own training and practice, combining pilates, barre, modern and ballet techniques.
