Kerem House Talks: Advance at Work by Promoting Gender Equality

Kerem House Policy Club presents Kerem House Talks.

This time, Shanna Fold will be interviewing Keren Katz,the Head of Bidder & Buyer Development at Microsoft. The first part of the evening will be a conversation with Shanna. The second is an open Q&A + discussion with the crowd.

Tonight's talk will cover how women (and men!) can advance at work by promoting gender equity!

Shanna Fold, originally from Howard Beach, has now lived in Israel for one year. Shana is a Multi Media Journalist at The Media Line - Trusted Mideast News. She is a former financial reporter/writer at SmarterAnalyst and a former Staff writer at Spectrum News NY1.

About the guest:

Keren Katz is the Head of Bidder & Buyer Development at Microsoft, connecting programmatic advertising demand across Microsoft properties. Prior to Microsoft, Keren worked at LinkedIn and ad-tech startups including AppNexus. Keren is a proud Canadian and despite having lived in New York for the last decade, still hasn’t made the transition to Fahrenheit.

Outside of work, Keren leads a mentor ring for women at Microsoft, mentors a first-generation college student via iMentor, a national United States’ program for disadvantaged youth, and a public speaker on issues of advancing gender equity in the workplace, leadership advancement and pay transparency. She also loves indulging in political late-night tv shows, yoga, surfing, and hanging out with her adorable nieces and nephews. Keren is a frequent Tel-Aviv visitor & spends a lot of time working out of cozy coffee-shops and SUP-ing on the beach.

About the Kerem House:

Kerem House is a community center run by, and for, the Tel Aviv community. The Kerem House hosts shabbat meals, lectures, open mics, classes, meet-ups, and much more. The space is also available for rent for private events.
