Getting acting work in English in Israel

About the event: The market for employment possibilities for English speaking actors in Israel has greatly increased in the last decade. Huge content companies such as Netflix and Amazon are increasingly producing in Israel and hiring local actors. The growing Israeli cinema market is attracting foreign investors- this is the time to sharpen your skills in the language  spoken in this acting market in Israel and in your showreel in English! In the workshop you will have the opportunity to work on a monologue of your choice in English. You will receive tips on how to find English acting jobs in Israel and efficient ways of quickly learning scenes by heart for auditions with casting agents. We will focus on how to build an audition in English correctly. We will work on language and body techniques and the differences in expectations abroad  and in Israel for delivering a professional text in English. In plot texts we will work with analyzing and investigating the text and building the image according to the Israeli viewpoint and within the foreign viewpoint.  We will learn how to make the accent a friend rather than a foe . In concluding the workshop we will work on building a home audition studio with minimal financial investment  to achieve full independence with self filming, in  dialogue, without  needing to learn by heart, which will serve us also in Hebrew auditions.
