WHERE: Tayelet promenade, directly across from Mike's Place After we workout, optional clothing swap at the Kerem House! If you can't make the workout you're still welcome at the swap and hangout . Food and drinks menu will be available.

Come sweat and stretch in this class focused on increasing strength and mobility. We'll use Pilates as a base and do some additional stretching and work on balance, flow and range of motion.
For class: Bring water and a yoga mat or towel. Come with sneakers. You may choose to work in them or barefoot.
This open class is for everyone! I'll offer adaptations, feedback, demonstrations and corrections throughout. Beginner accessible, everyone guaranteed to sweat.
------------ What is Pilates anyway? It's a set system of exercises - thanks Joseph Pilates! - like bridges, crunches and planks, and their increasingly advanced variations. Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.
About Marcie: Marcie is a modern dancer and pilates practitioner, performing and choreographing with ThisBody (www.thisbody.com), a Brooklyn based dance collective.
About Kerem House: Kerem House is the first of its kind community event space focused on enhancing life for young professionals in the Tel Aviv through encouraging the community to host empowering events by facilitating easy access to space. In the age of social distancing, Kerem House is bringing community together through outdoor and online events and activities.
